Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. It is the policy of YOTEZIC LTD, the company that operates the Apricamera 100KB app and this website, to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you through the app or the site.
This policy covers Android, iOS, and apricamera.com. Anonymous TelemetryDeck usage statistics and native in-app feedback apply to the iOS version released together with this policy.
We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we're collecting it and how it will be used.
We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we'll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
We don't share any personally identifying information publicly or with third parties, except when required to by law, or with the processors named below that help us run the app, ads, analytics, accounts and support.
Our app may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.
You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services.
Your continued use of our app will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information. If you have any questions about how we handle user data and personal information, feel free to contact us.
Photos and videos
Taking, compressing, saving and exporting photos and videos happens on your device. Ordinary capture and export do not upload your photo or video files to us. Compressed copies are saved to your photo library or device storage at your direction. Camera, microphone (for video sound) and photo-library access are used only for those on-device tasks.
The optional album-link feature and, on iOS, in-app feedback you choose to send are the cases where images you pick can leave the device. Those are described below.
Optional accounts and album links
An account is optional. Sign-in exists so you can create a lockable album link and manage those uploads. On Android you can sign in with Google; on iOS you can sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. We receive the identifier and email the sign-in provider shares with the app.
If you use album links, the photos you select for that share are uploaded to our server at apricamera.com so a link can exist. Taking or compressing photos does not upload them. You can delete uploaded albums in the app, or email [email protected]. Deleting your account removes the sign-in and those album links.
The app also sends coarse counts (photos taken, videos taken, album shares) to our server so we can configure ads. Those counts are not your media files.
Advertising
Apricamera 100KB shows ads from Google AdMob unless you have bought the one-time remove-ads purchase. Banner and app-open ads are used on both platforms; Android also offers a rewarded ad.
On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt is shown before ads are requested, so you can allow or refuse tracking for personalized ads. Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form is shown where required (including in the EEA and UK) before ads are requested. If you refuse tracking or ads consent, ads may still appear in a non-personalized form where the platforms allow it.
AdMob may use a device advertising identifier, approximate location derived from IP, and similar technical data to serve and measure ads. See Google's privacy policy.
Analytics and crash reports
Android and iOS use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google). Analytics events describe product use — for example that a photo or video was captured, a share completed, a sign-in happened, or a purchase changed — with coarse numbers such as file size or duration. They do not include the photo or video itself, file names, or the text of messages. Crashlytics receives technical crash logs so we can fix failures.
Firebase Analytics is separate from TelemetryDeck, which is iOS-only and described next.
Anonymous usage statistics on iOS
On iOS, Apricamera 100KB also sends small anonymous signals to TelemetryDeck, an analytics service based in Germany that is built not to identify people. A signal is sent when:
- the app is opened
- a compressed photo or video is saved
- a share or export succeeds or fails
- the remove-ads offer is shown
- a purchase or restore completes
Each signal uses fixed event names and bucketed values (for example a size or duration range, a kind such as photo or video, a short error category). It also carries an anonymous device identifier that TelemetryDeck derives on your iPhone by one-way hashing. That identifier is not your Apple ID or advertising identifier, is not linked to you, and is not used for tracking.
Signals never contain your photos, videos, file names, location, email, or anything you type. They are not used for advertising and not used to track you across apps or websites. Android does not send TelemetryDeck events.
You can read TelemetryDeck's policy at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.
In-app feedback on iOS
On iOS, if you open Send Feedback in the app and submit a report, the app sends us:
- your email address (required), so we can reply
- your message (required)
- up to five optional images you attach
- the app version, OS version, device model and language setting
Images you attach are re-encoded to JPEG on your iPhone first, which strips EXIF, GPS and other photo metadata. Ordinary camera captures and exports are not attached; only images you deliberately pick for the report are sent.
The app also includes a random identifier created on your iPhone, used only to stop the form from being abused. It is not linked to your Apple ID or any advertising identifier, and it is not forwarded with your message.
The report travels over an encrypted connection to a small relay we run on
Cloudflare (POST to feedback.yotezic.com), which checks it and passes it
straight on without storing it. Cloudflare also processes your IP address to
protect the relay from abuse. It is then delivered to a private Telegram inbox
that only the YOTEZIC team can read. Nothing is sent until you submit the
report. The relay is an API, not a website form.
We use feedback only to reply to you and to improve Apricamera 100KB — never for advertising — and delete it on request. To have a report deleted, email [email protected] with the reference shown after sending.
Website feedback
This website has a separate feedback page at /feedback, which uses Typeform. That form is independent of the iOS in-app report described above. Submitting the Typeform does not call the in-app feedback API.
Location
On iOS, if you allow location while using the app, Apricamera 100KB can tag captured photos and videos with GPS coordinates in the file, the same way the built-in Camera app does. Location is not sent to us. If you deny location, capture still works without a location tag.
Android does not request location for capture.
Purchases
The optional one-time remove-ads purchase is processed by Apple or Google. We receive whether the entitlement is owned so ads can be hidden. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
This website
Visiting apricamera.com uses Google Analytics (with IP anonymization) so we can understand site traffic. See Google's privacy policy.
Children's privacy
Apricamera 100KB is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us an account, album, or feedback, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
How long we keep data
Analytics and crash logs are kept by Google according to their retention settings. Album files stay until you delete them or we remove them under the image-share rules. In-app feedback is kept in the private inbox until we answer it or you ask us to delete it. TelemetryDeck processes anonymous signals for product analytics and does not identify you.
Changes
If our privacy practices change, we will update this page with a new effective date.
